New visual identity to extend the Saab car brand
Saab is a strong passenger car brand, built over many years through technology, innovation and progressive design. NEVS is now extending and further developing the Saab brand in passenger cars with a new visual identity. It is founded on the Scandinavian heritage, where the four distinctive seasons, long distances and extreme road conditions have shaped the Saab passenger cars.

Qingdao to become NEVS’ strategic gateway to China for Saab cars
NEVS has entered a long time partnership with the City of Qingdao in China’s Shandong-province. Qingdao initially invests SEK 2 billion, obtaining a 22 percent ownership share of NEVS through a directed share issue. Further investments will be made in a joint venture company in China. NEVS is headquartered in Trollhättan, Sweden where product development and manufacturing is located.

NEVS owner opens battery plant in China
One of the world’s most up-to-date battery manufacturing plants is now operational in Beijing. It has been established by the owner of National Electric Vehicle Sweden (the manufacturer of the future Saab cars), National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., which has started manufacturing of batteries for electric-drive buses and cars through its wholly owned subsidiary State Power Group in China.

Charged EVs: Saab joint venture plans Chinese EV factory
The saga of Saab recently entered a new chapter, as its parent company, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) made an alliance with two state-owned Chinese organizations. Motor Authority reported that the Tianjin Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Area (THT) and the Beijing State Research Information Technology Company (SRIT) will pay a total of $200 million for a 30 percent stake in NEVS.
